ACC cuts: Blaming the victims

Today I read an article about insurances refusing to insure or pay out claims of women who are in abusive relations. I was wondering when we would see the same mentality here. Well now we know. Once again a women cannot count on help after a traumatic experience because she has to be diagnosed and stigmatised as having a Mental disability.

The Government is looking at limiting the amount of people who can claim ACC entitlements and the amounts they can claim in an attempt to halve proposed levy rises.

The moves come after ACC recommended increases to levies which would hit workers in the pocket as the corporation grapples with a 57 percent increase in costs.
